Chang Sha lays south of Dongting lake, which is connected to the great river. The Great river also flows north of Chang Sha, and the only one that can attack Chang Sha without crossing the river, are the shanyue tribes, but those are to scared of the enormous tower that is part of Chang Sha's palace.
