1. NO interfering: Members that are not participating in a duel, please refrain from posting anything in that duel. Whether it is in character comments to cheer them on, or an attempt to settle a dispute. An administrator or global moderator will settle any problems at arise.
2. NO poison: Under no circumstances can poisons be applied to weapons, or vials of poison be used. Just think of it this way, your trying to duel and show your strength and talent, keep it clean.
3. NO hidden weapons: You all have your weapons in your signature, and that is the only weapon(s) you may have in a duel. The only exception to this is if there is a dueling tournament or some other agreed upon duel where wooden weapons are used. They do not have to be placed in your signature.
4. Keep it real: Please, no over the top actions. It is not realistic to jump over top your opponent, so don’t try it. Someone from the staff here will be watching duels to make sure everyone plays by the rules. But on a side note, if you wish to try something unique, and then make sure you add enough description so that we can tell it’s realistic. Don’t just say you kick your opponent then back flip. Describe the force you had to muster and the position you had to get yourself in to do the flip.
5. NO auto – hits: This has been explained on many an occasions, but I felt it necessary to say here again. Do not say your attack automatically hit your opponent; they always have a chance to counter. But, if your opponent doesn’t describe fully and in detail a block, dodge, or parry the attack, then you can consider it a hit.
6. 24 hour rule: This rule means that each participant in a duel has 24 hours to respond to his opponents post. If your opponent doesn’t reply to your attack within 24 hours, then you are declared the victor. As a side note, if you are unable to reply within 24 hours, like you know you won’t be able to get on the next day, please contact an Administrator so they know you have a reason for posting late.
7. Withdrawing Rule: You may withdraw from a duel at anytime. If you withdraw from a duel taking place in a battle, then you must retreat from the battle. Just think of it this way, you live to fight another day.
